Center for School Partnership and Teaching Certification - Graduate Assistantship (GA)

Graduate Assistant (GA) positions cover $5000 in tuition in both the fall and spring semesters.
There is a stipend of $1250 in both the fall and spring semesters with a service commitment of 20 hours per week when classes are in session.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Report to Assistant Director for the Center for School Partnerships and Teacher Certification
  • Support onboarding of teacher candidates by monitoring requirements to be cleared for fieldwork
  • Assist with tasks in software to manage onboarding, placement database, and assessment
  • Manage Social Media account to share on and off campus events and sharing teacher job openings
  • Assist with Student Teaching Seminar by facilitating online sessions once per semester
  • Complete various projects related to pre-student teaching and student teaching experiences
  • Manage on campus Professional Clothes Closet

Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate:

  • Strong organizational and professional communication skills.
  • The ability to work comfortably with software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Microsoft SharePoint, One Drive, and Teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to be solution focused.
  • The ability to take initiative and work effectively, respectfully, and professionally with a variety of students and faculty members to support the mission of the Center for School Partnerships and Teacher Certification

Time Commitment:
20 hours/week
