Ronald & Teresa Fishbeck Computer Science Scholarship

The Ronald and Teresa Fishbeck Computer Science Scholarship was established by the Fishbecks in 2012 at SUNY Potsdam, where they met in 1979.

To qualify for this scholarship, a student must:

  • Student must be a Computer Science major with at least “rising junior” status (i.e. must have completed at least the sophomore year) .
  • The student must have secured an internship experience in the computer science field to be considered for the scholarship. The internship must take place outside of Potsdam and the North Country community, in order to broaden the student’s perspective and experiences in the field.
  • Student must be in good academic standing for both their major and the internship program.
  • Preference will be given to a student who is pursuing an internship in a healthcare related field.
  • After completing the internship, the recipient will make an oral presentation about the experience to a campus group of students and/or the Computer Science Board of Advisers. The College Advancement Office will send a copy of the student’s presentation to the Donors.
