William J Amoriell Scholarship

The William J. Amoriel Scholarship was established in 2010 by Gary Hind, Esq., Class of 1977, and Deborah (Diefendorf) Hind, Class of 1975, in honor of Dr. Amoriell’s retirement as Dean of the School of Education and Professional Studies and Dean of Graduate Studies at SUNY Potsdam. The William J. Amoriel Scholarship will be awarded to:

1. A full-time or part-time matriculated student in a degree program offered by the SOEPS
2. A rising junior (who will be a junior the next semester) or a graduate student
3. Has and maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA (undergraduate) or 3.3 (graduate)
4. Preference shall be given to a non-traditional adult learner and to a candidate who has significant financial need as determined by the College’s Financial Aid Office.

The scholarship may be renewable for up to one additional year provided the recipient continues to major in a program within the SOEPS and maintains the GPA stipulated above. To be considered fill out the SOEPS General Scholarship Application
