Dorothy B Carpenter '34 Memorial Scholarship

Throughout her life, Dorothy Carpenter had been a loyal and generous donor to her alma mater, contributing each year to the College’s scholarship fund for students pursuing a teaching degree. The recipient of the Dorothy B. Carpenter ’34 Memorial Scholarship must:

1. Be enrolled in a teacher-preparation program at SUNY Potsdam
2. Pursuing either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education
3. The student must have financial need as determined by the in the Financial Aid Office.
4. The student must be judged by the Scholarship Committee of the School of Education and Professional Studies as having great potential to become an outstanding teacher.

Scholarships may be renewable until graduation, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing.
Award is up to 8 consecutive semesters for freshman, 4 consecutive semesters for transfer and 2 semesters for Graduate Students.
