Rebecca Pratt Scholarship

This scholarship was created in loving memory of Rebecca Pratt, a 1997 SUNY Potsdam graduate who passed away in 2001 after a battle against Hodgkin’s Disease.
The annual Rebecca Pratt Scholarship is awarded to a student who exhibits resilience in the face of adversity.
Funding is provided to a sophomore or junior who demonstrates, by way of an essay, the strength they have acquired due to a family or personal struggle.
Financial need or grade point average will not be factors in the decision process.

Applicants must first complete the General Scholarship Application then the Supplemental Question (500 word essay) for this opportunity.

In your essay please include the following:

• Elaborate on your personal challenge.
• Describe the steps you took to overcome the challenge and the lessons you gained.
• Share how you are applying these lessons to assist others.
